Last night was my "Blue Thong" night, my once a month girl's getaway that I always look forward to. About two years ago I found and joined the local chapter of "The Blue Thong Society". For you women out there looking to make new friends and just have fun, The Blue Thong Society is for you! It's a national group that originated in California, and it's a group for hip, chic, and fabulous women committed to "fighting frump". I've met a lot of great women and I'm so glad I joined.
Anyway, last night we got together for dinner and to see "Sex and the City 2". A local restaurant put together an event that any woman (there was one man in the bunch .... hmmm) could go to which consisted of dinner in a private room with a flat screen tv showing the first "Sex and the City" movie, unlimited martinis, bus ride to and from the movie, and a ticket to the movie. We had to go! During dinner door prizes were given, and I even won a "Sex and the City 2" tank top! We had a great time.
It's always good to get away with other women for a while. This weekend, back to work on the sailboat!

Yes, it was a lot of fun and so glad to have a restaurant put on the event. Thanks Erika for keeping us in your prayers. We live on the water off Lake Pontchartrain and really hoping for the best (and a quiet hurricane season)!
