Living in a waterfront community, it's that time of year where the ducks always seem to venture away from the water out back and into the front yards. I guess they're looking for a good place to lay their eggs in the grass.
For the past few weeks, we've often had to stop in the road to let these little fellas cross.
Lately, these ducks have been gathering for their morning meal of fallen bird seed. The other morning Ken and I got in the car and headed down the cul-de-sac to turn around. As we were approaching our house the ducks were running across our driveway. We joked that they were headed to our front door cause they were gonna party while we were away. Wouldn't you know that as we passed our house the ducks were indeed running up the sidewalk straight to our front door! Hmmm ... at least they cleaned up their mess before we got back home!
Hasta luego ... until then.

We have ducks at our marina, along with coots. They are indeed fun to watch, but they can be messy too. I love being on/near the water and being able to enjoy all that it entails. I can see you do too.
Have a terrific day. :)
Not exactly the birds you expect to see at your bird feeder. :0)
oh wow wonder what they were doing on your porch! Too funny.
