Pirate bed ... wish this was where I slept!
The other night I had a dream that caused Ken to ask me if I'd been dreaming of Brad Pitt! He said I had been breathing really heavy, which didn't surprise me. My dream had me a little upset.
My dream had Ken and I riding around in a guy's truck (can't remember exactly who ... seemed to be a distant acquaintance). Around early afternoon we were headed back to our house to be dropped off. As the guy pulled into our driveway, he punched the gas pedal and was headed right into our garage door! The truck plowed through the door, into the garage, then into our house! As I realized what was happening I remember thinking, "We'll never get this house fixed! We're never going cruising"! Everything seemed to go in slow motion as the indestructible truck drove through our kitchen, wiping out the granite bar and everything in its path.
As the truck broke through the back wall and into our backyard I went into a real panic thinking, "Not the boat! Not the boat"! (This must be the point where Ken thought I was having a rendezvous with Brad)! In my dream all I really cared about was our sailboat.
The truck hit the water, and thankfully not Nirvana! I remember treading water with Ken and telling him that dude was gonna get his ass kicked! Shortly after that I woke up with my heart racing, and I was breathing really hard. That's when Ken asked what I was dreaming about, as my breathing had woken him up.
Thankfully this was all just a dream! I don't often remember my dreams, but I do think dreams can be really interesting ... often a reflection of our life. Our brains are like computers, trying to process everything. This dream seems pretty easy to interpret. My dream was probably a result of our ongoing home renovations and the obstacles in our path to cruising. But hey, at least the dream had a positive ending ... Nirvana was spared! Hmmm. ... maybe the dream was a result of our recent experience with Hurricane Isaac. The house had some damage, but Nirvana came through the storm unscathed.
Speaking of our hurricane damage ... as of this past weekend the roof is no longer leaking! Now Ken can install the new insulation and sheetrock ... woo hoo! The house should be "back to normal" in the near future. Next step will be lowering the price of the house ... and finding a buyer!

I know one thing ... I'm not catching a ride home in a truck with some guy we barely know!
Hasta luego ... until then. Mid-Life Cruising!

I'm just glad that Nirvana was spared. I was hoping he didn't connect with Nirvana. What a dream.
Have a terrific day. :)
That's crazy and funny. I have the nuttiest dreams and I remember them in such detail. Ryan never remembers his dreams. They are often telltale... it shows how attached you are to this dream of sailing away. Now it's all about making it happen!
I have many and very vivid dreams all night long. I really hate the ones that involve us sailing and most of the boat is under water, or we have to go over a waterfall (?)... all sorts of crazy stuff!
Yeah, I'm glad Nirvana was spared and I do believe my dream reflects my desire to cruise. Like you said Tasha, just gotta make it happen!
just to be sure you can submit your application electronically.....
