View from Sugar Bay Resort, St. Thomas ... April, 2012*
This morning we woke to another unseasonably cold day here in Louisiana ... damp, cloudy and highs in the 50's. It seems ole' man winter has worn out his welcome! However, our day soon became a little brighter when I checked my e-mail and found that we had received a donation. To be honest, we don't receive donations very often. In fact, this is the first donation for 2013. This was a pleasant surprise that got even better when I realized that it was from Gary Weskrna ... a guy that had donated before! Gary must have seen yesterday's post listing the things we still need to buy. It's a long list!
Words can't describe how much Ken and I appreciate such kindness and generosity. We often feel like we're treading water and not getting anywhere. Such thoughtfulness from a stranger really lifts our spirits and confirms how great the cruising community is. Thanks again Gary! We'll have to have TWO drinks in your honor when we reach the Bahamas!
Hasta luego ... until then. Mid-Life Cruising!
* Wow, it's already been a year since our Virgin Island vacation ... we can't wait to get back to the islands on our own sailboat!
